Introducing My Passion Project

I committed my life to Jesus Christ late one evening on January 4, 1981, and it’s still vivid in my mind. I
can see myself in that church with theatre seating when the altar call was given: “If anyone wants to ask
Jesus into their heart, come forward.
I was a very insecure young woman, nervous to step into the aisle. Thankfully, the man beside me
sensed it, asked if I wanted to go, and I said yes.
Even now, I can still see myself kneeling at that old-fashioned prayer bench, bawling my eyes out. In that
moment, I saw Jesus on the cross. No, there weren’t crucifixes in a Pentecostal church—LOL—but I knew
without a doubt my sins put Him there. I told the Lord, “Whatever these people have, I want all of it.”
I had prayed the sinner’s prayer countless times before, but nothing changed. I was brokenhearted,
lonely, angry, fearful, and desperate. The God-sized hole in my heart had never been filled. When I
stood up that night after encountering Jesus, I was never the same—and I never looked back.
That moment became the foundation of my passion project.
Early on, the Lord placed something deep in my heart—not an audible voice, just a knowing: I was called
to be a giver. Sometimes people think I’m doing too much, but to me, that’s just wah, wah. I’m
compelled to give because I believe I carry the heart of our Heavenly Father—He loves to give and take
care of His people.
I’m also in a network marketing business. I love it—it’s my future, my income, and part of my calling. But
my true passion, the place where ministry and practicality meet, is Bargains with Bridget.
I’m turning it into an LLC (not a nonprofit—I want the freedom to serve how I’m led). Through it, I’ll
teach coupon classes, show people how to save money at grocery stores, earn cash back through apps,
and even share ways to protect their families from identity theft and access legal help for about $1 a
day.
That’s my update. I’m excited, I’m ready—and now it’s time to get started.
